other postsecondary institutions. For school-aged children, Sioux Falls supports 22 public and 17
non-public and special-needs schools. Sioux Falls does offer open enrollment, so you have the option of
sending your children to any of the system's schools.
Green Meadows, our building development in Harrisburg, is located conveniently across from the town's new
high school. Harrisburg also boasts a growing elementary school and middle school.
Business Climate
Sioux Falls offers a strong and diverse business climate, including leaders in banking, health care,
manufacturing, financial services and technology. South Dakota, with its productive workforce and low
taxes, provides an attractive climate for new business.
Health Care
With six hospitals and a number of clinics and private practices, Sioux Falls offers one of the finest
medical systems in the country. Health care facilities are state-of-the-art and can treat patients in
every specialty area.
Sioux Falls is also committed to overall wellness. The city is proud of its extensive parks program,
including the recreation trail and greenway that wraps around the city. Residents have their choice of
seven fitness centers.
Entertainment
Sioux Falls sponsors professional teams in football, baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer. Art galleries
and museums abound, including the newly constructed Washington Pavilion for Arts and Science. The South
Dakota Symphony Orchestra also makes its home in Sioux Falls.
